BOP (Broken Orange Pekoe): BOP is a grading term used in the tea industry to classify the size and quality of tea leaves. The “Broken” indicates that the leaves are broken into smaller pieces, which can enhance the infusion process. “Orange Pekoe” refers to the size and quality of the leaves, with whole leaves being of higher quality. BOP is a grade below whole leaf Orange Pekoe and is commonly used to produce strong and robust teas. Broken Orange Pekoe: fine plucking, but with broken leaves. Origin – Darjeeling / Assam.
